In fact, I’ve noticed an increase in the use of the word in the general public.  I think we are in a time of evolution.  Evolution did not stop with the dinosaurs.</p>
<p>However, when we try to hold onto ideas that do not progress us, don’t we surprise if we join those dinosaurs either individual or collectively.  Mother Nature does not play when the interest of Life is on the table.  What I mean by this is, all of life is connected whether you are walking around in a physical body or not.</p>
<p>Your physical body is a an expression of the role you are playing now, however, when you live against life giving principles, don’t be surprised if the consequences start to catch up with you. I am referring to our emotions and feelings.</p>
<p>Empowerment is about seeing clearly, embracing the totality of who you are with love and acceptance, then being able to have the personal power to update those things within you that need to evolve.  It may have worked for you at one point in your journey, but the environment has changed, so you will evolve or make life really tough for yourself.</p>
<p>The earth and civilization changed and the dinosaurs, with their destructive dispositions and oversized bodies, could not adapt, so they are no longer in the game.  We are at a time of change on our planet, this is obvious.  Yet, many people want to ignore this change and pretend like its business as usual.</p>
<p>You can feel it in the air.  The energy has shifted.  This is one reason why things seem to move so fast and furious – unless you have learned to live in the present moment and make friends with change and your emotions.  For me, it is getting easier, not more difficult.  And I am happier now than I have ever been in my life.  Why?</p>
<p>Because I finally stopped pretending that I did not see the “elephant in the room”, I stopped repressing old emotional baggage and saw them for what they were.  Emotion is the perception, either based in fear or love.  It is energy at its most basic definition.  I, like most people were conditioned to live in fear – focusing on what we don’t want, like or prefer to avoid.</p>
<p>And this is dangerous to your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health.</p>
<p><span id="more-497"></span>Emotions are just our guidance system as to whether or not we perceive with eyes of love or fear.  They show us if we are aware in the present moment that we are love, loved and centered in love, or whether we are giving our power away to some illusion outside of ourselves.  Now, there is one good reason for paying attention to fear and that is when our life or physical threat is facing us.</p>
<p>This is so that we can run or fight to survive; other than this, it is psychological. And psychological stress is chronic and deadly.  It has now been associated with 75-90% of chronic disease, including, cancer, autoimmune issues and heart disease. Yikes!</p>
<p>And stress – is an EMOTIONAL DIS-Ease!  Stress is about HOW, we are perceiving.  When we are focusing on what we don’t want or feel overwhelmed, or beat ourselves up, we stimulate the stress response, as we are viewing life as threatening.  The way I began to get out of the horrendous pattern first began as follows:</p>
<p>1.	I stopped rejecting myself and went a mission to start liking, and then loving myself. Contrary to popular belief, this is NOT the same as narcissism</p>
<p>2.	I started meditating to slow down my thoughts which were in over-drive as I had turned into a workaholic doing machine</p>
<p>3.	Once I started slowing my mind/brain waves down, I could actually tell when I was beating myself up and I began to realize that I could “see” or hear these thoughts as separate from my awareness (my Being, who I <em>really </em>am).</p>
<p>4.	Combining these three things, then adding conscious positive things about myself to focus on, or things to be grateful for, began to break the habit of negative self-talk.</p>
<p>Now there are other tools and processes you can use to speed this up.  I’m talking about quantum evolution.  Who wants to take the next decade to change?</p>
<p>Once you began to truly understand how to deconstruct the key nonsense beliefs that are wired into our bodies at an early age, you can began to more easily expand your vision for your life and make it happen.  There is a process to making friends with emotions that makes all this even easier, but the very first step is to begin to acknowledge the big elephant in the room and stop pretending that you don’t feel.</p>
<p>Also, make friends with change; it’s the one thing in life you can truly count on!  Empowerment is an inside job, dependent upon how you think, feel and ultimately act!</p>

The question is, are you using it consciously or unconsciously?  Most people do not realize that the Law of Attraction is also known as the Law of Vibration.  This is because vibrational patterns of energy are what the Universe is based upon within the creative process – like attracts like.</p>
<p>The frequency that you resonate via your feeling/emotional nature is what the Universe matches back to you.  Emotional magnetic energy is much greater than thought alone.  In fact, it has been measured to be as much as 5,000 times greater (visit <a href="http://www.heartmath.org" target="_blank">The HeartMath Institute</a><a href="http://www.heartmath.org"></a> for more info).</p>
<p>You initiate what you want with a thought, but the Law of Attraction process works as the thought combines with the feeling tone to set the pattern that you are putting out as your “vibe”.  Ever thought that you did or did not like the “vibe” in a room?  You were just sensing the energy pattern of the room.</p>
<p>Here’s the main point: the vibration or feeling that is your dominant pattern is what the universe is mirroring back to you.  So, if you think or say you want health, wealth and happy relationships, but you walk around all day feeling negative, whining, complaining and judging everything and everyone in sight, don’t be surprised if the good things in life continue to elude you.</p>
<p>You get what you feel, all day long!  Once you think on things long enough and with enough repetition or emotional connection, it becomes a belief.  Belief is actually wired into your body’s physiology as memory and is stored at a cellular level (and in your bio-energy field).</p>
<p>Just because you believe something does not mean it is the ultimate “Truth”. No, it’s just true for you!  Here are 7 preliminary steps you can take to begin to shift your negative thinking patterns:</p>
<p><span id="more-439"></span>1.	Stop focusing on what you do not want in your life</p>
<p>2.	Take the opposite of what you do not want and figure out what you DO want</p>
<p>3.	Use your imagination and attention to stay focused on what you INTEND to create</p>
<p>4.	Ignore as much as possible what you have already attracted into your life – yes, put your head in the sand and stop talking about it</p>
<p>5.	As negative feelings arise, you can release them faster and easier by learning tools such as EFT or Emotional Freedom Technique</p>
<p>6.	Re-educate yourself about what emotions really are and stop running from them.  They are your guidance system within the creative process</p>
<p>7.	Start practicing gratitude as much as you can all the time, everyday – find SOMETHING to be grateful for and start raising your vibrational tone</p>
<p>These are some practical steps to start walking toward a more abundant life experience.  As Martin Luther King said:</p>
<p>“Take the next step in faith.  You don’t have to see the whole staircase, just take the next step”.</p>
<p>If you continue believing what you believe and acting the way you are act, you will keep getting what you’ve been getting.  The universe does not play favorites.</p>
<p>The sooner you realize that you are able to respond or “response-able” for your own life experiences, the sooner you will become empowered to use the Law of Attraction to create a life you love on purpose!</p>

Why is this? After all, the day that we stop feeling emotion is the day we are no longer alive!  Even when you think you are not feeling, you are.</p>
<p>I use to be masterful at repressing my emotion as I was terrified of feeling “bad” due to a decision I had made as a teenager.  Yet, it takes a lot of energy to push back our feelings and when we do push, we just go unconscious or unaware of how we are feeling.</p>
<p>The danger though is that in the meantime these repressed emotions are wrecking havoc in our physical bodies (this is the main source of “dis-ease” or disease) and we are still sending the vibration of these feelings into the world around us.</p>
<p>People, situations and circumstances are picking up your “vibe” which is another way of essentially saying that they are picking up your feelings.  Now, since science even shows that we live in a “vibratory” universe, these vibes that you send are attracting that which is resonating on the same frequency or wavelength.</p>
<p>It’s like tuning forks. This is why in my angry days, I attracted a lot of angry people or drama into my life.  We don’t see the world the way it is, we perceive it the way we<em> are</em>.   This will impact your career and money one way or the other.</p>
<p>When we have a low self-image, beat ourselves up or think that we don’t deserve success or money, we will magically find ourselves struggling in these areas.  Recently I was in a group situation where there were people who were at transitions in their lives and had recently experienced job loss or had simply found the courage to go for their dreams.</p>
<p><span id="more-426"></span> It was evident that a certain person in the group was struggling with self-esteem and worth issues.  Needless to say, this person was having a very difficult time venturing into new terrain.  Holding onto “secure” jobs are so prevalent in our society because people feel predictability and safe in this routine.  However, it does not cultivate our true gifts and talents and often these routines cripple our growth.</p>
<p>This person I am referring to was now needing to call upon her inner resilience in order to get her new self-employed venture off the ground. Everyone in the room could see her beauty and power except for herself.  Instead of agreeing with her “pity party”, we all looked beyond her “story” and sent her love, support and sincere encouragement.</p>
<p>It was remarkable to see how her whole demeanor shifted, which of course, shifted her “vibe”.  She started appearing more radiant and began to interact more with others. In other words, she became more attractive.</p>
<p>Can you see how this can impact money and career?  When we get lost and stay stuck in our emotional pain and stories, it affects how we think, feel and act.  Of course, your actions will determine the outcome of your life.</p>
<p>When we dump the junk of our painful past and start to accept and love who we are, we magnetize ourselves to receive more financial abundance, better health and happier relationships.  Emotions and feelings are powerful and a force that cannot be ignored.</p>
<p>Learn how to make them your friend instead of wasting your life fighting against nature&#8217;s internal “guidance system”.</p>

We live in a vibratory universe, and since everything is energy, (this IS science and not woo-woo by the way), it makes sense to me that if you want to make a change in your life, you start with the basics.</p>
<p>The basic building block of our lives is energy.  Our thoughts, feelings and emotion are composed of energy.  This electromagnetic energy, which is the “stuff” that wires our circuits in our nervous system, ultimately leads to the actions that our body takes or what we create from our imaginative minds.</p>
<p>We’ve had it backwards in so many ways. One way is the idea of &#8220;mind over matter&#8221; which is like trying to control or change a building after it is built.  It is often even the idea that we can “pretend” we don’t see something and that somehow our ignoring it will make it disappear.</p>
<p>It’s the old affirmations and positive self-talk without the energy, the power of belief to make it happen.  Well, Law of Attraction actually works in a <em>conscious </em>manner when you start to realize that what you think and FEEL about, you bring about.</p>
<p>The Law of Attraction is working at all times.  It’s just that most people are so into blaming and feeling like a victim that they don’t realize that the negative feelings of judgment, self-rejection and lack thinking keeps showing up as the “matters” of their life and they are co-creating the chaos!</p>
<p>Then, once it shows up, they try to “mind over matter it” which is why life feels like so much hard work and struggle. It keeps you feeling off balance as you try to walk the tightrope of your life.  I use to do this for sure.</p>
<p>Thank goodness I finally woke up from the nightmare.</p>
<p><span id="more-422"></span>It is liberating to realize that I play a major role in determining the outcomes in my life instead of feeling like a powerless, hapless victim of the universe.  The key is to learn how to re-train your brain and drop the old conditioned social mindset that keeps you in victim mentality.  Once you realize that YOU are not your thoughts and reconnect with awareness to your spiritual essence, the energy that is your life force, you can begin the journey to empowerment, from the inside out which is the only way to authentic power.</p>
<p>There are many paths, and one thing that you can begin to do is to learn how to slow down your thoughts and separate your sense of self from who you “think you are”.  This is best done via mindfulness meditation in its various forms.</p>
<p>Of course, this is a first step and to experience quantum leap change, you need more information that can be posted here in a simple blog post.  Learning how to use your powerful mind and brain properly will allow you to use the Law of Attraction to support you in creating great relationships, a healthier lifestyle and more financial abundance. We cannot rise above, or at least not stay above whatever is our inner perception regarding our worth.</p>
<p>Just look at what happened to Tiger Woods.  The sad thing is, we are already good enough, just because we exist!  We are the one who continue to allow the thinking into our lives that something “out there” is our salvation.  That inner peace is to be had from something outside of who we are.</p>
<p>Granted, the emotional wiring that usually gets screwed up early in life play a significant role, but I’m here to tell you that we can rewire ourselves once we make the intentional commitment to do so.</p>
<p>And, the good news is, it is not as difficult as you think.  I’ve made it my business to find tools and processes to change my inner turmoil and find the inner power and peace to consciously design my life by choice.</p>
<p>And it is working.</p>
<p>I also believe that the changes that we feel “in the air” around us is helping to assist this process by the rapid insights that are happening in the progressive arenas of science and spirituality.  The spirituality piece is actually ancient.</p>
<p>We are just waking up again to remember. Now, how does this apply to everyday practical life?  Let’s look at it from a business point of view.</p>
<p><span id="more-403"></span>When you are insecure and worry about what others say it translate to:</p>
<p>1.  Poor networking skills, the old “fear of rejection”</p>
<p>2.  Afraid to get out of the box and become the next visionary entrepreneur, like Steve Job for example.  I’m sure he had plenty of naysayer dragons to slay.</p>
<p>3.  Low self-worth often translates to “what will they say” if I become wealthy?</p>
<p>We give our power away and look for validation from the opinions of others.  We think that something out there will be the magic bullet and make us feel good for a change.</p>
<p>Why not start asking different questions?  Like, where did this belief that my worth is based on what some strangers say about me come from?  Or how about seeking more courage within to get out of your own way and start seeing our relatively short life as an adventure instead of a mediocre trip of merely surviving until we grow old and die, a life never lived?</p>
<p>The high rate of misery and depression, chronic debt and disease proves that something is not working.  Hint: As we think and feel, so will we act. One key to raising our quality of life is to stop thinking we are bad, unworthy and rejecting ourselves and we can then make room for compassion, for our self and others.  It’s about living from a place of love instead of competition and fear.</p>
<p>Self-esteem or acceptance and self-love can only be stable when it starts from the “inside out”!</p>

It is often ignored and swept under a rug, the old “elephant in the room” that people pretend that they don’t see.  This is truly unfortunate as emotions are the fuel that runs the engine of our life.</p>
<p>Our intellect, logic and actions cannot rise above the quality of our perceptions, and emotions have more impact on our perception than what we think.  This is also one reason why change can be so difficult for people.</p>
<p>We often think we want to change but because of our fear of feeling “bad” emotions, when uncomfortable feelings show up, we distract ourselves with all manner of drama, from workaholism to, well, all manner of additions and procrastination.  And it’s not just our self-esteem and confidence on the table.</p>
<p>85% of all disease is stress-related, and stress is an emotional disease.  Note the word “dis-ease”, or not at ease.  The electrical energy of emotion is 60 times greater than thought and the magnetic energy is 5,000 times greater that thought.</p>
<p>In other words, when you feel good, you are a powerful attractor of that which resonates with the vibration of that feeling and when you feel “bad” you are going be on the “vibe” of these kinds of experiences.  Science shows we live in a vibratory universe and like attracts like.</p>
<p>I use to be terrified of feeling pain, and there is a reason for this that often links back to early childhood, though not always.  The long/short of it is, I discovered that once I stopped seeing feelings as something to be avoided, I was able to stop judging them and not dealing with my life.</p>
<p><span id="more-397"></span>One of the first steps to freedom, emotional freedom, is to stop judging yourself and to learn tools and techniques to separate your sense of self from your thoughts and feelings. As Shakespeare said:</p>
<p>“Nothing is good or bad except thinking makes it so”</p>
<p>There is so much relativity to life and when I let go of my judgments and fears, and used simple tools that are now available to release destructive energy patterns from my body (by the way, emotions/memory is held in the body at a cellular level so it is in your best interest to release old drama), I began to have compassion for myself and feel good again about myself and life itself.  I also became happier!</p>
<p>Needless to say, my relationships also improved and continue to do so.  As long as you have breath in your body, you will experience emotion.  They are the “spice of life” and they are just nature’s way of letting you know when you are aligned with the energy of love or fear.</p>
<p>Making peace with feelings and learning how to consciously deal with them is a sure way of releasing the shackles of shame that binds you and keep you in destructive patterns that hold you back from living a life you love. When you are free to love, you are free to heal.</p>

<p>Emotions are not so much as “mental” as they are a part of the overall bodily physiologic process.  Changing the way we see emotional repression is the next step in the journey to living healthier lifestyles and reclaiming our personal power.</p>

I think it is a great sign that people are becoming aware of our responsibility or &#8220;response-ability&#8221; in creating our life&#8217;s circumstances.</p>
<p>As we start the New Year, it is also common to hear references to &#8220;New Year&#8217;s Resolutions&#8221; or goals. A new year gives new hope for new beginnings and hope is certainly a good thing.  I once heard someone criticize the idea regarding telling people that they can expect more from life and to take proactive steps life by developing a new vision or using affirmations.</p>
<p>The complaint was, believe it or not was that it was wrong to &#8220;give those poor people hope&#8221;.  Well, that seems like a sorry statement to me.  What&#8217;s wrong with a little hope?</p>
<p>See hope is an emotional expectation and many people are afraid of their emotions, in fact I believe we are conditioned to avoid feeling our emotions.  Also, there is the factor that as little children, we did not understand how to manage inharmonious emotion (&#8220;negative&#8221; charge), so we learned to fear them easily.</p>
<p>They remind the child that they are not receiving unconditional love or a form of rejection and very young children don&#8217;t know how to manage this well.  You see, we come in here all bright eyed and expecting to be loved, and though we are to a degree, the expression is all over the map.</p>
<p>If our environment is fear based, we are often not optimally emotionally nourished.  Hence, most of us do not know how to manage our emotions in a healthy way.</p>
<p><span id="more-391"></span>In fact, many people are so shut down emotionally that they don&#8217;t know how to feel anything but lack or anxiety.  Here&#8217;s the problem with Law of Attraction &#8211; we live in a &#8220;vibratory&#8221; universe.  The universe is picking up your feelings a lot more loudly than your thinking and talking.</p>
<p>The magnetic energy of the heart is 5,000 times greater that thought. The Universe is going to match your vibe, not what you say you want.  This is why many people say the Law of Attraction doesn&#8217;t work.  Actually, it works perfectly.</p>
<p>The problem is, people do not realize that emotion runs the engine.  The head can direct a thought, but the emotions fuel it.  So, since most people live with chronic fear and anxiety, focusing on what they really don&#8217;t want, even though they think that using visualization is not working to get them what they want, the missing ingredient is that they are not aware of the role of feelings.</p>
<p>You can want health, wealth and prosperity in your imagination, but if you are not putting your heart into it with FEELINGS, feeling like you already have your desire and truly expecting it to manifest, you are only daydreaming.  Emotions wire the nervous system a lot more powerfully than mere thought.</p>
<p>For example, where were you on September 11, 2001?  If you live in the U.S. you probably remember.  This is because of the power of emotion.  The next time you set goals, remember that you must match the desired outcome to &#8220;feeling good, feeling grateful&#8221; and expect to have it manifest.</p>
<p>Otherwise, your engine is going to stall before you make it to the finish line.  If you are really &#8220;feeling bad, feeling like a victim&#8221;, you are likely to experience this whether you make positive affirmations all day long or not.  Law of attraction is working; you just must learn to use it to work for you instead of against yourself.</p>

I am of the firm belief that healthy self-esteem matters and is not the same as arrogance or narcissism.</p>
<p>I believe arrogance is a telltale sign of insecurity.  It is the ego’s way to covering up and hiding inner fear of inadequacy.  One may as well have a neon sign on their forehead that says “I am hiding my pain and shame” when they mistreat others in a rude and condescending fashion.</p>
<p>What I have found to be true within my own life is that the more I come to love and accept myself, the less judgmental and more compassionate that I become with others.  What we <em><strong>do</strong><strong></strong></em> is not the same as who we <em><strong>are</strong></em><strong>.</strong></p>
<p>When we behave in a way that is harmful to others, of course there should be a penalty (even if the law doesn’t apply the penalty, karma takes its toll).  It’s a matter of reaping and sowing.  I am not of the school that karma is “punishment”.</p>
<p>It is really about getting back what you put out.  So, when we plant seeds of love, we will reap a harvest of love – eventually.  Now realize that some of what we reap is not obvious in its origin.</p>
<p><span id="more-329"></span>Some people can fake looking good, but their <strong><em>motive</em> </strong>for seed planting is what the field of energy is processing.  What I mean is, if we pretend we have good self-esteem, or if we think that acting macho is good self-esteem, we may not receive the harvest of inner peace and happiness that we hope for.</p>
<p>Our energy is always perfectly matched and balanced by an Intelligent Universe that runs on order.  It does not play dice and is not random.  This does NOT mean it is always predictable by the mental human intellect, but from a higher, transcendent view, everything is working in order.</p>
<p>There is an article written on Tiger Woods in the Examiner, San Francisco on December 11, 2009 <a href="http://www.examiner.com/x-1256-Atlanta-Dating-Examiner~y2009m12d11-Tiger-Woods-takes-a-break-from-golf-and-family-life" target="_blank">(click here)</a> regarding his present self-inflicted drama (drama is generally self-inflicted).  I agree in essence with the writer who says that she does not see Tiger’s self-esteem as healthy just because he is a wealthy, great golfer.  As I said earlier, what you do, is not who you ARE.  What he did is an experience.  Our behavior often reflects the state of our ego.  I still look beyond his behavior and see that at his core, he still has a light that shines brightly.  He just needs to heal the emotional blockages.</p>
<p>Apparently, he has enough inner ego insecurity that he went about exhibiting behavior and having relationships that were a far cry from honorable.  In fact, they look to me like a reflection of someone who devalues himself and his body.  What he did was outright self-destructive to his life.  Herein lies the danger of not healing emotional pain or inner insecurity and shame.</p>
<p>We are taught to deny and hide and ultimately, it all comes out explosively and we wonder what hit us.  When you proactively take the time to heal the inner emotional wounds, by working at the level of ENERGY, then you can remove those “cataracts of the soul” that block your inner light and cover your souls’ loving power.</p>
<p>True self-esteem is about living from the True Self, instead of the ego sense of false self.  It does not come from outer accomplishments and title. No, self-esteem is an inside job.  What are your thoughts?</p>

I believe that it comes none too soon as we move into the instability of our future.  Instability is always a reality when you stop and think about it.  The “future” is not predictable and there is much mystery to life.</p>
<p>We get into trouble when we start to buy into the idea that we can control everything and start wanting guarantees about what tomorrow holds.  As a very young child, I started out in life feeling insecure and not wanted.  It had a lot to do with my family position, gender and even religion.</p>
<p>The bottom line is, as a child, I was emotionally immature and had not developed much logic and I was physically smaller than the adults, of course.  This is a set up for feeling fearful and setting off the survival instinct in our brains.  Between adults who were not aware of the damaging effects of impatient words and the dreadful feelings of rejection, I eventually decided to repress my feelings and emotions.</p>
<p>Of course the adults around me encouraged this, as they did not want to deal with emotion either.  The problem is, emotional wounds will hide out in your body until they are released.  Emotions are not “bad” or “good”.  They are just energy with a given charge or frequency.</p>
<p>The frequency will either match love or fear – simple as that. Love heals while fear steals.  We all intuitively know that love feels desirable and fear does not.  As long as I repressed my anger, grief, sadness and other pain, they built up in my nervous system and they started to constrict my field of vision for my life as well as to impact my physical heart.  It can affect different people in different ways.</p>
<p>Memory is literally stored in your body at the cellular level.  In my early twenties, I started to show symptoms and signs of a heart valve problem.  However, once I realized that the emotional pain was literally capable of killing me, I began the journey of emotional healing.  Not only has my vision expanded for my life, but also my heart is completely healthy.  The pain of a “broken heart” can literally translate to heart “dis-ease”.  Here are some tips to consider:</p>
<p><span id="more-277"></span>1.	From an anatomy standpoint, you have two aspects to your brain (left hemisphere and right hemisphere)– logic and intuition.  Mental processes are important but so are emotional processes.  You need both to be healthy and whole</p>
<p>2.	Fearing feelings and emotion are a conditioned and learned process that typically begins in childhood based in the mind of a child.  Most adults are overgrown children who never healed their childhood perceptions and they pass on the fear of dealing with them</p>
<p>3.	Healthy feelings and emotions are not explosive.  Many people look over-emotional and out of control as usually they are reactively responding to unresolved pain that is backed up in the nervous system over the years</p>
<p>I have personally discovered that I could relearn how to manage my emotions in a healthy manner.  I used to be TERRIFIED of feelings of rejection, sadness or virtually any other negative emotion – except anger, I was great at blowing up.</p>
<p>Once I learned how to change my attitude about emotions I found the courage and learned how to release the energy in ways that were quite simple and without drama.  It’s not about stirring up emotion and just talking about the past.  Healing comes from releasing the painful energy of emotion from your cellular memory and consciously “wiring” yourself with healthy thoughts, feelings and emotions.  This will lead to lasting change.  As I’ve done this, even my body is more flexible as well as my attitude about self and others.</p>
<p>Current, reel-time emotion is in the moment and passes in 60-90seconds and does not feel life threatening.  Feelings and emotions make life rich, colorful and is the door to soul-felt creativity.</p>
<p>Learning to feel again and heal the old emotional blockages has been the single most empowering step I’ve ever taken in creating and living a life I can love.  You can do the same and it’s not as difficult as you may think!  Emotional healing is the missing link to living a life well lived.</p>

<p>When we as a society stop conditioning ourselves to run and hide from feelings and emotions, we will really reform health care.  In fact, it can finally move from disease care to real health maintenance.  Just look at the word “disease”.  You can break it down to “dis – ease, or “not at ease”.</p>
<p>This is the source of most of our disease.  Stress is a sensation of overwhelm, and when we live in our heads to the neglect of our hearts and bodies, it’s no wonder heart disease and stiff bodies start to develop over time.  It is not age that is doing it; it is the fact that negatively charged emotions that have been repressed over time takes its toll.</p>
<p>These emotions are hiding out in the body at a cellular level for sure and I believe also in the bio-energetic fields of the body.  When I started facing my feelings and learning how to change the way I thought about emotions and feelings, I really became empowered to change my life.</p>
<p><span id="more-265"></span>We are conditioned to repress our feelings and emotions.  The problem is, when you keep repressing them, they only re-circulate and “build up steam” within your body.  For example high blood pressure, or hypertension is really just “life under pressure”.</p>
<p>Of course, if you keep pushing the lid down on your emotional body, when you do occasionally release it, it feels scary and overwhelming.  I used to be terrified of negative feelings.  I’ve learned though that this is all illusion and that I did not blow up once I retrained my brain to stop fearing feelings and live within (embody) my body instead of living in my head.  Stop right now and notice your feet.  Feel your legs.  &#8220;Being in your body&#8221; brings more energy into your body which raises health and vitality.  Your energy flows where your attention goes.</p>
<p>Most of us walk around numb all day and are too busy to notice how we are feeling.  After accumulating years of negative emotions, we start to avoid even wanting to feel our body or stay in present awareness because we don’t want to deal with pain.  Well, I learned its pay now or pay later.</p>
<p>Since I started facing my fear about running from feelings and emotions, I no longer am afraid and I discovered it was yet another childhood “boogeyman under the bed”, a fear all in my head.  I’ve learned how to release old emotional memory energy from my body, and gratefully I can say I am a very healthy person.</p>
<p>In fact, the more I learn about energy and the role of mind and emotion on our bodies, I’ve been able to heal issues that use to bother me when I was “emotionally blocked”.  My body is even more healthy and flexible now.</p>
<p>Emotional blocks are like the cataracts that I used to remove when I was a practicing eye surgeon.  They block the light that allows you to see your vision for your life clearly.</p>
<p>Not clear about where you are going and why?  Not feeling passionate about life anymore?  Consider healing the blind spots of emotional blockages and you can, as I did, start to shine the light on your energy drainers and raise your level of health and vitality.</p>
