Stress is epidemic these days. What is stress? First let me say that stress in general is an emotional “dis-ease”. You are not at ease when you feel stressed out and the reason is based in feelings of overwhelm.
When one is overwhelmed, she or he is not feeling very empowered. Feeling stress then is to feel disempowered. Now this is certainly not something that is in our best interest. When you are stressed, you are feeling threatened and this is a mind/brain response whether the perceived threat is real, meaning physical threat or psychological.
If your life is in danger, the stress response can help you to run faster, fight stronger or, for better or for worse – freeze. Other than physical escape, the response can interfere with your performance.
If you were meeting a deadline, enthusiasm or excitement would serve you better than getting yourself all worked up about last minute preparedness. The main thing to consider about stress is to understand that it is also very dangerous to your health.
Sure, overwhelm is unpleasant, but that is the least of your concern when it comes to stress. Consider the following facts about stress:

Emotional healing initially can sound like a “heavy” word. Why is this? After all, the day that we stop feeling emotion is the day we are no longer alive! Even when you think you are not feeling, you are.
I use to be masterful at repressing my emotion as I was terrified of feeling “bad” due to a decision I had made as a teenager. Yet, it takes a lot of energy to push back our feelings and when we do push, we just go unconscious or unaware of how we are feeling.
The danger though is that in the meantime these repressed emotions are wrecking havoc in our physical bodies (this is the main source of “dis-ease” or disease) and we are still sending the vibration of these feelings into the world around us.
People, situations and circumstances are picking up your “vibe” which is another way of essentially saying that they are picking up your feelings. Now, since science even shows that we live in a “vibratory” universe, these vibes that you send are attracting that which is resonating on the same frequency or wavelength.
It’s like tuning forks. This is why in my angry days, I attracted a lot of angry people or drama into my life. We don’t see the world the way it is, we perceive it the way we are. This will impact your career and money one way or the other.
When we have a low self-image, beat ourselves up or think that we don’t deserve success or money, we will magically find ourselves struggling in these areas. Recently I was in a group situation where there were people who were at transitions in their lives and had recently experienced job loss or had simply found the courage to go for their dreams.

The Law of Attraction essentially is about “like attracts like”. We live in a vibratory universe, and since everything is energy, (this IS science and not woo-woo by the way), it makes sense to me that if you want to make a change in your life, you start with the basics.
The basic building block of our lives is energy. Our thoughts, feelings and emotion are composed of energy. This electromagnetic energy, which is the “stuff” that wires our circuits in our nervous system, ultimately leads to the actions that our body takes or what we create from our imaginative minds.
We’ve had it backwards in so many ways. One way is the idea of “mind over matter” which is like trying to control or change a building after it is built. It is often even the idea that we can “pretend” we don’t see something and that somehow our ignoring it will make it disappear.
It’s the old affirmations and positive self-talk without the energy, the power of belief to make it happen. Well, Law of Attraction actually works in a conscious manner when you start to realize that what you think and FEEL about, you bring about.
The Law of Attraction is working at all times. It’s just that most people are so into blaming and feeling like a victim that they don’t realize that the negative feelings of judgment, self-rejection and lack thinking keeps showing up as the “matters” of their life and they are co-creating the chaos!
Then, once it shows up, they try to “mind over matter it” which is why life feels like so much hard work and struggle. It keeps you feeling off balance as you try to walk the tightrope of your life. I use to do this for sure.
Thank goodness I finally woke up from the nightmare.

Empowerment and remaining open-minded are connected. There is a lot of cutting-edge information out here that can be very useful for your life for example, understanding the role that you are playing in creating your own life experiences.
Now because there is subjectivity involved whenever we are dealing with emotions and perception, which contribute to your level of consciousness (let’s just call it “awareness”), it is difficult to quantify it and plug it into a formula.
You cannot box it in and this is why many scientists would rather to totally avoid conversations around the “deeper” things of life. Take emotions, this is a terrifying area for many people and there are several reasons for this.
Also, when it comes to “paranormal” events, such as high levels of intuition, for example “entangled minds” or premonitions, science overall tries to write it off as “crazy” or “unscientific”. To me this is utter nonsense.
The issue is, not that it is inherently “unscientific”. The problem is the way “scientific” is defined in the first place. Herein lies the limitation of science which often resembles “fundamentalist” religion. If you ask a question that they don’t want to deal with or can’t plug into a math formula, they belittle the experience of others and call it invalid.
Just because something cannot be reproduced over and over with predictable results, does not make it an “invalid” experience for the person asking the question or relaying their experience. The reason these types of energetic experiences are so difficult to measure is that we are all unique and our “realities” are reflected in this uniqueness.
When awareness gets involved (you’d better believe emotions/feelings play a role here), things become tricky. My life experience will be different than yours. It is empowering to be able to embrace your own conclusion in the face of what others may call “unscientific” just because they do not understand it or have a different mindset.
If there were not fear involved or if it was not a matter of staying within one’s comfort zone, why not try to understand a differing viewpoint? History has shown that often times, it is a matter of ignorance or lack of technology that prevents us from being able to find the answer at the time.

Self-esteem, self-image is foundational to your quality of life. We cannot rise above, or at least not stay above whatever is our inner perception regarding our worth.
Just look at what happened to Tiger Woods. The sad thing is, we are already good enough, just because we exist! We are the one who continue to allow the thinking into our lives that something “out there” is our salvation. That inner peace is to be had from something outside of who we are.
Granted, the emotional wiring that usually gets screwed up early in life play a significant role, but I’m here to tell you that we can rewire ourselves once we make the intentional commitment to do so.
And, the good news is, it is not as difficult as you think. I’ve made it my business to find tools and processes to change my inner turmoil and find the inner power and peace to consciously design my life by choice.
And it is working.
I also believe that the changes that we feel “in the air” around us is helping to assist this process by the rapid insights that are happening in the progressive arenas of science and spirituality. The spirituality piece is actually ancient.
We are just waking up again to remember. Now, how does this apply to everyday practical life? Let’s look at it from a business point of view.

Emotional healing is an idea whose time has come. It is often ignored and swept under a rug, the old “elephant in the room” that people pretend that they don’t see. This is truly unfortunate as emotions are the fuel that runs the engine of our life.
Our intellect, logic and actions cannot rise above the quality of our perceptions, and emotions have more impact on our perception than what we think. This is also one reason why change can be so difficult for people.
We often think we want to change but because of our fear of feeling “bad” emotions, when uncomfortable feelings show up, we distract ourselves with all manner of drama, from workaholism to, well, all manner of additions and procrastination. And it’s not just our self-esteem and confidence on the table.
85% of all disease is stress-related, and stress is an emotional disease. Note the word “dis-ease”, or not at ease. The electrical energy of emotion is 60 times greater than thought and the magnetic energy is 5,000 times greater that thought.
In other words, when you feel good, you are a powerful attractor of that which resonates with the vibration of that feeling and when you feel “bad” you are going be on the “vibe” of these kinds of experiences. Science shows we live in a vibratory universe and like attracts like.
I use to be terrified of feeling pain, and there is a reason for this that often links back to early childhood, though not always. The long/short of it is, I discovered that once I stopped seeing feelings as something to be avoided, I was able to stop judging them and not dealing with my life.

Law of attraction is working whether you realize it or not. There’s a lot of conversation over the Internet regarding the Law of Attraction. I think it is a great sign that people are becoming aware of our responsibility or “response-ability” in creating our life’s circumstances.
As we start the New Year, it is also common to hear references to “New Year’s Resolutions” or goals. A new year gives new hope for new beginnings and hope is certainly a good thing. I once heard someone criticize the idea regarding telling people that they can expect more from life and to take proactive steps life by developing a new vision or using affirmations.
The complaint was, believe it or not was that it was wrong to “give those poor people hope”. Well, that seems like a sorry statement to me. What’s wrong with a little hope?
See hope is an emotional expectation and many people are afraid of their emotions, in fact I believe we are conditioned to avoid feeling our emotions. Also, there is the factor that as little children, we did not understand how to manage inharmonious emotion (“negative” charge), so we learned to fear them easily.
They remind the child that they are not receiving unconditional love or a form of rejection and very young children don’t know how to manage this well. You see, we come in here all bright eyed and expecting to be loved, and though we are to a degree, the expression is all over the map.
If our environment is fear based, we are often not optimally emotionally nourished. Hence, most of us do not know how to manage our emotions in a healthy way.

Empowerment is the buzz world for our day. “Oh yeah?” you may say. “How so? It looks like the world may be going to hell in a hand basket”. (I do occasionally hear these kinds of remarks).
I personally am so excited and hopeful that we are at a time of great awakening. We are awakening from the nightmare that we have created by being asleep to our Core, Who we really are.
There is the “Mental Me”, then there is the “Magnificent Me” (distinct difference so don’t let the ego trip you up here). Many people look at the current generation of young people and think that they are a “lost generation”.
Actually, each generation tends to say this about the prior generation to a degree anyway. The distinction though is that this generation does have access to a lot of information and technology that prior generations did not have.
There is much potential good to be had from this technology, yet of course, there is a lot of potential for destruction as well. I have put my faith on the side of the good, the Light, as while it is true that there is a dark side to humanity, there is also the presence of even greater Light – once you see and perceive it from within.
There are many out here who want to “save” this so called “lost generation”. Yes, we definitely need to do what we can to inspire and help others. This of course will naturally flow out of our own inner healing.
If we take care of our own backyard and pull up our own weeds, we can have better soil to grow beauty in the garden of our own minds. Then of course we will be in a better position to help others as they tend to their own garden. Hence the answer is not in playing the role of “rescuer”.
“Physician, heal thyself” and then you can help others. Another thing I have noticed about this “lost generation” is there is also a rising up of a group that is outright visionary, courageous and powerful.
This group can tell the “older generation” a thing or two, that’s for sure. So before we start judging the youngsters to be so messed up and lost, maybe we should change our focus to adjust to notice those forces that are also rising up on the side of the Light of humanity.
Here is a very powerful video I came across on YouTube that is produced by someone from this “lost generation”, hence the video is also called, “The Lost Generation”.

Empowerment is about being able to go from where you are to where you want to be and to live from a place of abundance. Abundance for me refers to health, wealth and relationships.
We are living through turbulent and changing times, so coming from a place of empowerment is to be able to navigate change with awareness and conscious choice, instead of feeling like a victim. I went to see two movies last week that had a lot of current science, aspects of the mystical or spiritual and cultural/economic messages.
Avatar I thought was so good, I’m planning on seeing it again on IMAX with 3-D. What was so great about blue people and an outer space fiction movie? How does this relate to everyday life? I can’t cover everything, but here are the highlights.
Quantum physics has shown that everything is energy. Yes everything. Now there is debate over how our consciousness interacts with this energy, or for that matter, what consciousness is in the first place.
I don’t want to get too specific with the details of the movie, as I don’t want to spoil it for people. In the movie, there is reference to the connection of all of life, how we are one with nature and all of life, yet we are able to function as individuals. It also referred to how science, when it only comes from a place of intellect and holds a mechanistic viewpoint of life, just how fear-based and cruel it can be.
Then there were also spiritual references to the energy field, which some quantum physicists call the “Divine Matrix”. This is the energy that permeates all of life. Then there was Sherlock Holmes and his ability to visualize and “see” future events. There is science that documents all types of “paranormal” phenomenon.
Folks, this is not sci-fi or spooky.
